Status of server migration items as of Monday, Oct 19, 2009:

• data move:  completed!
• database moves:  completed!
• blog database move:  completed!
• blog interface/framework move:  completed!
• blog software upgraded to latest version:  completed, testing
• script/code rewrites:  completed, testing
• site email addresses (internal use): 99% completed, testing

Pages seem to be up, javascript slideshow is working.  Links seem to be working.  Will continue to test.

Update:  fixed bug in RSS processing that places links to latest blog entries on the comiccritique.com front page

This is a shared blog where ComicCritique.Com contributors can leave a quick note, a news update — whatever they’d like to share with ComicCritique.Com readers and other contributors. Many of our contributors already have their personal blogs; this isn’t meant to replace those blogs, it’s more a way for our contributors to share and communicate with our readers and fellow contributors in a quick and informal fashion.

It’s fair to say that this blog is an experiment, but it’s one that I hope to let run quite a long time, long enough to see how it truly fits in with ComicCritique.Com’s normal editorial content, and long enough to allow it to grow and evolve.
